Wheelbase Pro runs your availability, reservations, and payments. We build the branded website around it: vehicle pages, local search, and a booking flow that stays on your own domain from first click to checkout.
- Wheelbase booking embedded in your own pages
- A search-ready page for every vehicle
- Custom builds you own, or a managed monthly plan

How a Wheelbase Build Works
Four steps from Wheelbase account to live website.
Settle Wheelbase first
Vehicles, rates, deposits, extras, and policies set up in your Wheelbase account, so the website shows the same rules renters agree to.
Design the pages
Home, a page per vehicle, service area, policies, and FAQs, with your branding and photos.
Embed and connect
Wheelbase's booking tools placed in your pages, with Turo calendars imported per vehicle where you use Turo.
Test, then launch
Test bookings on desktop and phone, deposit and checkout checks, search setup, and analytics before go-live.
Run Your Own Direct Rentals
Booking, insurance, deposits, and verification on your own site.
Taking bookings outside a marketplace means replacing what it handled for you. These are the tools we connect to your website, where your booking platform and account support them.
Booking & availability
Wheelbase Pro or HQ Rental Software runs availability, reservations, and payments inside your own website. With Wheelbase, each vehicle's Turo calendar can be brought in so those dates show as booked.
Insurance
Wheelbase Pro is integrated with Roamly, a separate insurer, so eligible renters can add coverage at checkout on your own site. Availability, eligibility, coverage, and price depend on Roamly and your circumstances.
Security deposits
Wheelbase can place a deposit hold on the renter's card and release it automatically after the trip. A hold isn't a charge; any deduction follows your rental agreement and your payment processor's rules.
Driver verification
Wheelbase verifies driver's licenses automatically for renters 25 and over who take its protection; other renters are checked manually. Optional insurance checks are available for a per-check fee.
Capabilities as documented by Wheelbase (opens in a new tab) and Roamly (opens in a new tab) in November 2026; features vary by account, plan, and state. We recommend these providers but aren’t affiliated with them.
Why Rental Operators Choose DRW
We only work with car rental businesses.
More than a rental website: a complete online presence built around your fleet, your booking platform, and the renters in your market.
See how we configure each websiteWe specialize in car rental businesses
We aren't a generic web agency. We work with rental operators and understand how a rental business actually runs.
Every website is configured for you
Managed templates are the foundation; the website is built around your business, not dropped onto it.
Built for search and direct bookings
A rental website should help renters find you, explore your fleet, and book directly, not just look good.
What your website does that the Wheelbase storefront doesn't.
Your brand, not a booking page
Renters land on your domain, see your logo and photos, and book without feeling they've been sent somewhere else.
Pages that can rank locally
A page for each vehicle and your service area, with titles, descriptions, and structured data set up for search.
One source of truth
Rates, availability, and reservations stay in Wheelbase. The website shows them; it never keeps a second copy that can drift.
Room to grow
Add landing pages, a blog, rent-to-own, or marketing tracking later without rebuilding your booking setup.
Live Client Website
Lone Star Loaners, Dallas, TX
A direct booking website we built for a rental business that also runs on marketplaces: fleet pages, online booking, and rent-to-own, on a site the owner controls.
Questions
Common questions.
No. We recommend and integrate Wheelbase for clients who use it, but we aren't a partner, reseller, or certified agency, and Wheelbase doesn't pay us. Your Wheelbase subscription is between you and them.
Yes. You sign up with Wheelbase and pay any Wheelbase fees directly. We connect your account to the website, set up the booking widget in your pages, and test the booking flow.
With Wheelbase Pro, each vehicle's Turo calendar can be brought into Wheelbase so your website shows those dates as booked. It works one way: a booking made on your website still has to be blocked on Turo, and Wheelbase doesn't publish how often the Turo feed refreshes, so double bookings are reduced, not impossible.
Where your Wheelbase account supports it, yes. Wheelbase can place a deposit hold and release it after the trip, and it's integrated with Roamly, a separate insurer, for eligible renters at checkout. Eligibility, coverage, and price depend on Roamly and your circumstances.
Custom builds typically take 3–5 weeks from kickoff. Managed websites usually launch in 7–14 business days once we have your content, Wheelbase access, and confirmed compatibility. Both are estimates, not guarantees.
No. Launch and Grow packages are WordPress sites; the Custom package is built without WordPress; managed websites run on our platform. Wheelbase's booking tools work in all three.
