Refund & Cancellation Policy
At DirectRentalWebsites.com — a division of SetupMyBusiness (SMB) — we’re committed to delivering high-quality direct booking websites and related services for car rental operators. Because our work involves custom development, significant time investment, and digital deliverables, our refund and cancellation terms differ from a traditional product purchase.
This policy explains when refunds may be issued, how cancellations work, and what to expect. By purchasing a service from us, you acknowledge and agree to the terms below.
1. General Policy
All services we provide — website design and development, booking system integration, fleet operations support, SEO, and related work — are custom, digital, and time-based. For this reason, refunds are not guaranteed and are issued only at our sole discretion. Payments made for consultations, custom deliverables, active projects, or digital work already performed are non-refundable.
As explained in our Disclosure Statement, we do not promise or guarantee bookings, leads, inquiries, or revenue. Business performance — how many bookings, leads, or inquiries your site generates once live — is not a valid basis for a refund request, under this policy or any other.
2. Cancellations Before Work Begins
You may request a cancellation before we’ve started any work on your project. If no work has started:
- We may approve a cancellation,
- We may issue a partial refund, or
- We may issue a full refund, depending on circumstances.
Refund eligibility depends on time reserved or scheduled for the project, resources allocated, and any pre-work preparation already completed. We retain the right to deduct any costs already incurred.
3. Cancellations After Work Has Begun
Once work has started on your project, refunds are not provided. This includes:
- Custom website design and development
- Wheelbase Pro or other booking-system integration work
- Fleet operations support and workflow documentation
- Booking automation setup (confirmations, reminders, lead routing)
- SEO, content, and Google Business Profile work
- Google Ads campaign setup and management
- AI automation and chatbot configuration
- Any other digital work, deliverables, or time already spent
Because these services require time, expertise, and resources, we don’t refund payments for partially completed or ongoing projects.
4. Monthly Plans & Maintenance Retainers
For monthly maintenance, hosting, SEO, or ad-management retainers — including our Starter and Growth post-launch plans:
- All payments are non-refundable once the billing cycle has started.
- Cancellations apply to the next billing cycle, not the current one.
- Work completed during the active month remains billable.
You may cancel future renewals by emailing us before your next billing date.
Starter and Growth are also available on an annual billing option at a discount. Annual plans are paid upfront for the year and, like our managed hosting annual option below, are non-refundable and not prorated for early cancellation once the year begins. Monthly billing remains cancel-anytime with no upfront commitment.
5. Managed Hosting Refunds
Our optional managed WordPress hostingadd-on follows the same billing-cycle rule as other retainers above. Monthly hosting is non-refundable once that month’s cycle has started; annual hosting is non-refundable once the year begins and is not prorated for early cancellation. You’re free to migrate to a different host at any time — we’ll help with that migration — but fees already paid for the current billing period aren’t refunded.
6. Project Pauses & Client Inactivity
If you become unresponsive or delay a project, we’ll hold it for up to 30 days. After 30 days of inactivity, the project may be closed with no refund. Work can be resumed later at our discretion and may require additional fees. All delivered work remains non-refundable.
7. Quality Assurance & Revisions
Every project includes three rounds of revisions during development, plus two weeks of free support after launch for bug fixes and scope-related adjustments — see our Servicespage for details. Refunds are not granted due to preference changes, new ideas after work has been completed, differences in creative style, or disagreements after project delivery. Revisions are provided to ensure satisfaction within scope — they don’t qualify as grounds for a refund, and work beyond the included rounds or the post-launch support window is quoted separately.
8. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes
Attempting a chargeback without contacting us first is considered a breach of our Terms of Service. If a chargeback is filed, we may provide transaction records, communication logs, and delivered work to the payment processor, and access to all services, deliverables, and ongoing work will be terminated immediately. Legal or collection action may be taken if fraudulent activity is detected.
9. Refund Request Procedure
To request a cancellation or refund (where applicable):
- Email support@directrentalwebsites.com
- Subject line: Refund Request – [Your Name / Project Name]
- Include: full name/company name, email used for purchase, invoice or transaction ID, service purchased, and reason for the request
We’ll review the request and respond within 7–10 business days.
10. Exceptions
We may consider case-by-case exceptions in situations including duplicate payments, accidental multiple charges, or billing system errors. These exceptions must be verified through our payment processor.
11. Policy Changes
We reserve the right to update or modify this Refund & Cancellation Policy at any time. Updates are effective immediately upon posting on our website.
