Disclosure Statement
The websites, integrations, automation, and related digital services provided by DirectRentalWebsites.com — a division of SetupMyBusiness (SMB) — are built to help car rental businesses operate with more independence from marketplace platforms. This Disclosure Statement explains what we do and don’t promise, and what stays your responsibility as a client.
1. No Guarantee of Business Results
We do not guarantee:
- A specific number of bookings, leads, or reservations
- A specific increase in revenue, or reduction in marketplace fees
- Search engine rankings or a specific position on Google
- Ad campaign performance, click-through rates, or cost per booking
- That any integration (Wheelbase Pro, Stripe, Square, or similar) will perform a specific way once live
- That automation or AI tools will behave exactly as demonstrated in a proposal or demo
A well-built website is one part of a rental business’s results. Pricing, fleet condition, local demand, customer service, and market conditions all play a role that’s outside our control.
2. Case Studies & Portfolio Results
Case studies, portfolio examples, and any statistics we reference — including those from Lone Star Loaners or any other business — reflect that business’s own published figures and circumstances. They’re shared as examples of the kind of operator we build for, not as a promise of what your business will achieve by working with us.
3. Third-Party Services & Integrations
Our websites commonly integrate with Wheelbase Pro, Stripe, Square, Google (Analytics, Ads, Business Profile, Maps), Meta, Twilio, Mailchimp, Calendly, and similar platforms. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or responsible for the uptime, pricing, features, or policies of these companies. Any issue that originates from a third-party platform is that platform’s responsibility, not ours — though we’ll always help you understand what’s happening and how to respond.
4. Rent-to-Own Program Disclosure
Where a build includes a rent-to-own page, we provide the self-service listing tool — the page itself, and the ability to add, edit, or remove rent-to-own vehicles through your WordPress dashboard. We do not draft rent-to-own contracts, determine financing terms, handle title transfer, or advise on the legal or licensing requirements for offering rent-to-own arrangements in your state. Structuring, documenting, and complying with the law around your own rent-to-own program is your responsibility — talk to a qualified attorney or accountant before offering one.
5. Not Legal, Financial, Insurance, or Licensing Advice
We build websites and supporting digital infrastructure. We are not a law firm, accountant, insurance broker, or licensing authority, and nothing we provide should be treated as legal, financial, insurance, or regulatory advice regarding your car rental business — including vehicle licensing, renter insurance requirements, business registration, rent-to-own financing, or local rental regulations. Consult a qualified professional for those matters.
6. Your Responsibilities as a Client
You’re responsible for:
- Vehicle condition, safety, insurance, and legal compliance
- Pricing decisions, rental terms, and rental agreements
- Screening and managing your renters
- Content accuracy — vehicle details, pricing, and availability — once your site is live
We build and maintain the platform. How the business is operated day to day is yours.
7. Assumption of Risk
Operating a car rental business carries risk that has nothing to do with your website — vehicle accidents, renter injury or property damage, theft, insurance claims, rental disputes, and regulatory compliance among them. You accept those risks as part of running your business. We have no involvement in, and no liability for, the actual rental transactions, vehicles, or renters your business handles — our role is limited to the website and related digital infrastructure. This is expanded on in our Terms of Service.
8. Marketing & Advertising Language
Marketing language on this site — including phrases about growth, scaling, or reducing marketplace dependence — describes the intent and design philosophy behind our work, not a guaranteed outcome for every business that works with us.
9. Acceptance of This Disclosure
By engaging DirectRentalWebsites.comfor any service, you acknowledge that you understand the above, and that you won’t interpret anything we provide as a guarantee of specific business results. This Disclosure Statement is incorporated into, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service.
