There are two sensible ways for a rental business to get its own booking website. One is a custom build: a one-time project designed around your business that you own when it's finished. The other is a managed website: a professional site on a monthly plan, built, hosted, and maintained for you. Neither is better in general. They suit different fleets at different stages.

What Each Option Costs

Our managed websites start at $99/month for up to 3 vehicles, with a one-time $299 setup fee; larger plans cover up to 20 vehicles, and bigger fleets get a Fleet plan quoted for their size. Custom builds start at $1,850 one-time one-time, with optional hosting and support plans afterwards. Over a few years the totals can end up close; the real difference is cash flow up front and who carries the ongoing work.

Design and Features

A managed website uses customized templates from a managed platform, so launch is faster and the cost stays low, but there are limits to how far the design and features can go. A custom build is designed from scratch around your brand and can include things a template can't, such as advanced fleet filtering, rent-to-own flows, or custom integrations.

Updates, Hosting, and Maintenance

With a managed plan, hosting, SSL, backups, security updates, and a set number of hours of minor updates each month are included. With a custom build, those are separate: you can host it yourself, or add our managed hosting and a post-launch plan.

Ownership

This is the difference to understand before choosing. On a managed plan, you own your domain and your content (logos, photos, vehicle information), but the platform and its code belong to us, and the site goes offline if the plan ends (with a window to export your content or ask for a standalone copy). With a custom build, you own the finished website after final payment and can host it anywhere.

Which One Fits Your Fleet

  • Choose managed if you run a small fleet, want to launch quickly, and would rather not pay thousands upfront or manage hosting
  • Choose custom if you're established, need specific features, or want to own the website outright
  • Either way, keep your marketplace listings running; the website is an added booking channel, not a replacement
